I really don’t understand people who are against the war in Iraq. It makes no sense to me at all. Okay, first, we won–so that pretty much takes care of the “what if we lose” argument. Plus, the losing side was a combination of serial rapist/mass murderer/child abuser/psychopath/terrorist supporter.

There frankly isn’t any way to be against the war and not be a complete nutjob, if you ask me.

It was worth the war just to stop this from happening (thanks to Instapundit for running this). Here’s the money quote, from a Louisiana Judge sent to Iraq to help with the rebuilding:

It’s kind of old news by now, but I have to comment on the surreal response of the Canadian government to the fact that a Canadian citizen was tortured in Saudi Arabia for 3 years.

This is the same goverment, of course, that gets its panties in a twist whenever some Canadian murderer in the USA is getting close to the death penalty, and the same government that condemns the USA for imprisoning terrorists in Guantanamo bay.

But just let a Canadian engineer get tortured nearly to death by some Saudi thugs and the response is… silence! Then some mumbling. Then, after public outrage becomes too much for even Chretien to bear… er, not much, actually. Maybe a letter: Dear Sirs. Please explain. Yours ever so Humbly, etc etc.

I am a capitalist tool, a loudmouth libertarian, and a member of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy (Canadian Chapter).

I hope to do my part to promote war. OK, ok, maybe not “promote war”, but at least stick up for it once in a while. After all, when a bunch of terrorist Nazi Islamist maniacs declare war on us, I think the least we can do is show up.

Along the way, I might complain vociferously about the pusillanimous Liberal Party of Canada and their amoral power-mad confreres across the diverse Canadian political spectrum… you know, all the way from the Left to the Crazy Left.

Random grumpiness is also to be expected.
